Job summary

Timken in Mascot, Tennessee is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to coordinate and execute outbound shipments using SAP, ensuring orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.

You will work with production planning, warehousing, carrier partners, and finance to maintain inventory accuracy and shipment visibility, while identifying opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Experience with SAP ERP is required; manufacturing or distribution experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP SD, MM, and Logistics Execution is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate outbound shipments to customers, distribution centers, and intercompany locations.
• Verify shipment quantities, packaging, labeling, and documentation for accuracy.
• Create and process bills of lading, packing slips, export documentation, and carrier shipping documents.
• Schedule and coordinate outbound transportation with approved carriers and logistics providers.
• Monitor daily shipments and proactively address potential delivery delays.
• Execute and maintain shipping transactions within SAP.
• Create and process outbound deliveries, post goods issue transactions, stock transfers, and shipping confirmations.
• Research and resolve SAP shipping errors, delivery blocks, and inventory discrepancies.
• Serve as a point of contact for shipment status and delivery updates.
• Communicate shipping delays, shortages, and transportation issues to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate with customer service, production planning, materials management, warehouse operations, transportation providers, quality, and finance.
• Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, stock reconciliations, and inventory audits.
• Support domestic and international shipping requirements, including Incoterms and export documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, transportation cost, and delivery performance.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and support KPI reporting for on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, freight cost, and inventory accuracy.
