Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator for an on-site role in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. You will schedule truck pick-ups, manage shipment schedules, and prepare essential shipping documents to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has shipping or logistics experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior shipping coordination experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience accepted.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate daily truck pick-ups.
• Maintain and update daily shipment schedules.
• Obtain freight quotes and support cost-efficient shipping.
• Prepare shipping documentation (BOLs, shippers, certifications, international docs).
• Process and track shipments via UPS, FedEx, DHL.
• Monitor transportation activity to ensure deadlines are met.
• Generate and maintain expedited shipment reports.
• Train new team members on shipping processes and safety procedures.
