Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator in Loves Park, IL to manage outbound orders and ensure on-time delivery. You will leverage WMS to process orders, prepare shipping paperwork, and operate forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in distribution, and must hold forklift certification with turret experience a plus. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Process LTL, Truckload, and international outbound orders via WMS.
• Generate and attach BOLs, packing slips, labels, and ASNs.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Stage, palletize, and shrink-wrap orders on the shipping dock.
• Communicate routing instructions with carriers and internal teams.
• Maintain dock cleanliness and verify shipment accuracy before departure.

Ready to keep logistics moving? We are seeking an organized Shipping Coordinator for a top retail supplier in Loves Park, IL. You will take charge of outbound shipments, using warehouse software and material handling equipment to ensure every order is processed accurately and on schedule. Role Highlights

• Compensation: $19.28 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

What You'll Do

• Process LTL, Truckload, and International outbound orders through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Generate, verify, and attach required shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, labels, and ASNs.
• Safely operate sit-down forklifts and material handling equipment to load and unload outbound trailers.
• Stage, palletize, shrink-wrap, and prepare orders on the shipping dock following specific customer pick ticket instructions.
• Communicate routing instructions and coordinate logistics updates with supervisors, carriers, and customer service teams.
• Maintain clean dock areas, uphold strict warehouse safety standards, and double-check shipment accuracy before departure.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse setting.
• Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts and standup reach trucks (ability to obtain forklift certification required; turret truck experience a plus).
