Job summary

Inteplast Group Corporation is seeking a Shipping Coordinator Lead to oversee outbound shipping in a paper manufacturing setting. You will coordinate daily shipping activities, manage documentation, and drive on‑time deliveries while minimizing freight costs.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in a lead or senior role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of freight operations (LTL, FTL, flatbed, rail).
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems and AS400/IBS is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipping activities for finished paper products, carriers, and documentation.

  • Serve as primary on‑the‑floor contact for shipping questions.
  • Prioritize workloads and assign tasks to shipping personnel.

  • Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and resolve issues.
  • Train new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate ERP/WMS records and analyze shipping data.
  • Support continuous improvement in logistics efficiency and costs.

Job description

Title: Shipping Coordinator Lead
Position Objective

The Lead Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all outbound shipping operations within a paper manufacturing environment. This role ensures timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of finished goods while maintaining compliance with transportation regulations and customer requirements. The position requires strong coordination with production, warehouse, and customer service teams.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing
  • Prior experience in a lead or senior role is a plus
  • Knowledge of freight operations (LTL, FTL, flatbed, and/or rail)
  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Familiarity with paper manufacturing products and handling requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of international shipping and export compliance is a plus
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely

  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities for finished paper products, including scheduling carriers, preparing documentation, and tracking shipments
  • Ensure on-time delivery performance while minimizing freight costs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping-related questions and issue resolution on the floor
  • Assist in prioritizing workloads and assigning tasks to shipping personnel based on production and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate closely with production and warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output
  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and export documentation
  • Communicate with carriers and logistics providers to arrange pickups and resolve scheduling issues
  • Support training of new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure alignment of shipping schedules with output
  • Ensure proper handling and loading of paper products, including rolls and palletized materials
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and logistics providers
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/WMS systems
  • Analyze shipping data to identify trends and implement process improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics efficiency and cost reduction
