Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for paper packaging to lead machine operators on a fast-paced production floor. The role combines hands-on supervision with practical troubleshooting to maintain flow and meet production targets.

Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, prior supervisory experience in manufacturing (ideally food packaging), and fluent Spanish. This role requires flexibility for non-standard hours and a commitment to safety.

Job description

Production Supervisor/Paper Packaging

Position objective: The Supervisor will support and guide machine operators in efficiently running their machines. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the supervisor being actively involved in machine operations.

Positions open for first and second shifts Monday - Friday with some Saturdays.

Training is required on first shift.

Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and act decisively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct and support machine operators.
  • Bilingual Spanish is required.
  • Willingness to learn and operate new machinery, with an ability to adapt to changing production needs.
  • Ability to manage time effectively balancing supervision, troubleshooting, and learning new equipment.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Job Responsibilities:

Work Environment Conditions Subjected to in this Position:
  • Fast-paced production floor with exposure to machinery noise and variable temperatures.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
Training:
  • Must complete ongoing training as required.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices & Software:
  • Must have experience with basic hand tools.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Software.
Physical Activity Required for this Position:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
