Job summary

JBS Foods in Colorado seeks a Shipping Coordinator to manage scale operations, pallet loading, and order fulfillment. You will operate the automated scale, assist with rework, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.

This role requires physical effort, forklift/pallet jack use, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math, and English communication. The position offers a base rate of $26.25 per hour with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and speaks English.
• Basic math including sums, percentages, and conversions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Forklift and pallet jack license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work in a cold warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the general operations and basic maintenance of the auto scale.
• Perform manual scaling at the reweigh station and maintain equipment.
• Stack boxes weighing 45–50 pounds on pallets by product code.
• Assist with rework by repairing cases or identifying returns.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by submitting daily scale adjustments.
• Keep the area clean through daily sanitation.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Load trucks with equipment and by hand up to 50 pounds per case.
• Fill customer orders accurately using Telxon equipment.

Shipping Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the general operation and a basic maintenance of the auto scale.
2. Performs manual scaling at the reweigh station, including general operation and basic maintenance.
3. Constant repetition of stacking boxes weighing 45-50 pounds on pallets which are segregated by product code
4. Assists with rework by either repairing the cases or identifying cases for return.
5. Assures inventory accuracy by submitting daily scale adjustment reports.
6. Keep area clean by performing daily general sanitation.
7. Operates forklift and pallet jack safely and efficiently.
8. Loads trucks both with equipment and by hand which vary in weight up to 50 pounds per case.
9. Ability to fill customer orders accurately using Telxon equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
• Ability to pass a Prove It test
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Valid forklift and pallet jack license or ability to obtain a license
• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Ability to learn new procedures, i.e. bar code scanner, equipment, stacking grids
• Familiarity with computer system
• Ability to work variable hours and excellent attendance required

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
• $26.25/hr base rate
