Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms is preferred.

As part of Detection and Measurement, Sealite is a leading designer and manufacturer of marine aids to navigation (AtoN) equipment. Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions including marine lighting, navigation buoys, marine floats, port entry lighting systems, lighthouse lighting, and monitoring and control systems, we help people transverse the world safely by sea.

How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)

Responsible for coordination of all outgoing shipments, creating appropriate shipping documentation, maintaining associated records, and coordinating with customer service/sales teams.

What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Follow safe work practices and procedures, and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.
  • Ensure daily goals are met
  • Obtain shipping quotes
  • Coordinate all outgoing shipments
  • Coordinate international shipments
  • Package outgoing shipments
  • Invoice customers
  • Assist with unloading of delivery trucks as needed
  • Responsible for inventory of shipping materials
  • Maintain clean, tidy and safe work place.
  • Abide by company and EHS regulations/policies.
  • Advise manager on implementing changes.
  • Advises manager of risks or potential hazards as required.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and confidentiality of company information.
  • Co-operate with other staff, supervisors and managers.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably directed.


What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in warehouse setting


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • International Shipping Experience including knowledge of Incoterms
  • Forklift experience
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail


Education & Certifications

  • High School diploma


Travel & Working Environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
