Job summary

Vantedge Medical Company is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a temporary, onsite, full-time role in San Jose, CA. The position supports domestic shipments, with some international duties as needed, and operates during day shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:40 pm.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least four months of experience in processing small package shipments, along with working knowledge of ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four months experience processing small package shipments (FedEx and UPS).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process domestic small package shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.) utilizing carrier internet sites, work instructions, and customer shipping instructions in Visual.
• Measure dimensions and weigh freight as required to book shipment.
• Affix shipping labels.
• Complete LTL (Less Than Truckload) Bill of Lading (BOL).
• Provide Proof of Delivery (POD) when requested.
• Scan shipping documents.
• Performs other related tasks assigned by the department Manager.
• Using previous documentation as a guide, process international shipments in the absence of the Senior Shipping Clerk.

About this Opportunity:

• Current knowledge of small packaging shipping and the ability to utilize the web-based UPS and FedEx shipment processing systems.
• Ability to communicate verbally with all levels of employees.
• Good written communication skills.
• Moderate keyboard speed with high accuracy.

Physical Demands

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move pallets with pallet jack.
• Extended periods working on a computer.
