Job summary

Royal Switchgear Manufacturing, LLC, based in Bessemer, Alabama, is seeking a Receiving Clerk to manage inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and operate forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience, forklift certification, and proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience and/or certification is required (or ability to certify upon hire).
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems (such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, JDE or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse work.
• Follow written and verbal directions with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently 10 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound materials, parts, and supplies from vendors and carriers.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and quality compliance.
• Verify purchase orders, packing slips, and quantities.
• Enter received materials into inventory system (ERP/WMS).
• Stock materials in proper warehouse locations using forklift equipment.
• Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and adjustments.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas, racks, and shipping lanes.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Use handheld RF scanners or ERP systems for tracking inventory movements.

The successful candidate in the role requires safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment, along with strong computer and organizational skills.

What You’ll Do

• Receive inbound materials, parts, and supplies from vendors and carriers.

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
