Job summary

Taylor Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team on the 1st shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm. You will perform quality control, check-in orders, and prepare shipments using PC-based systems to generate labels and documents.

We value accuracy and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Expect lifting up to 25 pounds and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following safety guidelines; work authorization to be eligible for employment in the United States is required.

• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control review of each order.
• Check-in orders.
• Aggregate and package/prepare orders for shipping via parcel and LTL carriers.
• Utilize PC-based systems to prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Maintain a clean working environment and equipment needed to ship orders timely.
• Follow safety requirements for the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Complete shipping reports.

Work Authorization

Your Responsibilities

• Perform quality control review of each order.

Your Shift

1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

You Must Have

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet set deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Basic computer knowledge required

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer

• Experience in Pick/Packing
• Experience with UPS and FedEx software
