Unique Industries, Inc. is seeking a safety-minded Shipping Clerk for the first shift (7A - 3P) in Montoursville, PA.

You will support the Shipping Department by handling documentation, freight coordination, and data entry to ensure quality and production standards are met. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to juggle tasks in a fast-paced setting, and basic proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

Qualifications

• Must have good problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet goals.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
• Attention to detail in drafting, typing and proofreading; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Up to one year of related experience and/or training preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains pertinent document files.
• Assists in acquiring freight rates, tracing and expediting outbound freight by truck or parcel.
• Organize and prioritize large volumes of information.
• Prepare trucks for shipment; record data from skids of finished goods for shipment.
• Maintain professional relations with others and foster teamwork.
• Commitment to company-wide quality and safety.
• Data entry within JDE.

About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a safety minded team member with an attention to detail to join us as a Shipping Clerk on first shift (7A - 3P) in our Shipping Department in Montoursville, PA. The Shipping Clerk supports the business by providing technical and clerical services which helps meets all quality and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains pertinent document files.
• Assists in acquiring freight rates, tracing and expediting outbound freight both truck parcels.
• Organize and prioritize large volumes of information.
• Writes up trucks in preparation for shipment, physically pulls skid tags from staged product, records data from skids of finished goods for shipment.
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• A commitment to company wide quality and safety is required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Data entry within JDE.

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Up to one year of related experience and/or training preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree required.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
