Job summary

Adient US LLC in Normal, IL seeks a Shipping Clerk to manage daily route manifests, verify shipping windows, and maintain trailer and yard paperwork. The role supports production through dock coordination and accurate record-keeping, including BOS requirements and CTPAT compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in shipping/receiving or related fields, experience in manufacturing/distribution (automotive a plus), and Excel proficiency. Forklift license required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of shipping/receiving clerk, inventory coordination, or similar field.
• Experience in Manufacturing/Distribution – Automotive is a big plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; ERP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily route manifest log.
• Verify receiving and shipping windows are met and communicate concerns to supervisor.
• Update hot parts board when expedited parts arrive.
• Manage dock and yard inventory trailer movements to support production.
• Manage the Trailer Tracking Sheet.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for trailer part inventory in yard.
• Maintain records of seat shipping system (BOS requirements).
• Coordinate logistics to/from outside warehouses.
• Input incoming receipts regularly and timely.
• Maintain packing slips records.
• Maintain records of returnable containers.
• Track Truckload Utilization (TUMS).
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Maintain all CTPAT requirements (Trainable).
• Must have up-to-date forklift license.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures in production areas.
• Maintain BOS requirements for shipping, receiving, and transportation management.

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:

• Manage and Coordinate Daily Route Manifest Log.
• Verify Receiving and Shipping Windows are met- communicate concerns to supervisor
• Updates Hot Parts Board when expedited parts arrive.
• Manage the Dock and Yard Inventory Trailer movements to support production and supermarket lines of replenishment.
• Manage Trailer Tracking Sheet.
• Manage and maintain accurate paperwork to support part inventory of trailers in yard.
• Maintains records of seat shipping system (BOS requirements)
• Coordinate any logistics to and from outside warehouse/s.
• Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
• Diligently maintains records of packing slips
• Maintains records of returnable containers
• Maintain system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization. (TUMS)
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Maintain all CTPAT requirements (Trainable)
• Must have up-to-date forklift license.
• Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned production areas.
• Maintain all BOS requirements for shipping, receiving, and transportation management

This Position is for 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12am)

Pay Range: $50-55k
