Job summary

Afinitas, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks a shipping/receiving associate in a plant environment in Mediapolis, IA.

You will identify and document items after shipment, coordinate with all teams to ensure orders are complete and ready to ship, and prep products for shipment including shrink wrapping, skids, and bracing to prevent damage. You will operate mobile equipment, use Infor ERP and UPS for shipments, and follow safety procedures.

• Must be computer proficient and ability to learn batching systems.
• Must have forklift and other mobile equipment experience.
• Ability to comply with deadlines and any overtime that may be required.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and document manufactured items upon completion of shipment. Coordinate with all other teams to ensure sales orders are complete, accounted for and ready to be shipped. Prepping finished products for shipment, which may include shrink wrapping, building skids, and bracing products to prevent shipping damage. Operate mobile equipment to assist in moving any parts to other designated areas. Use Infor ERP system and UPS website for shipments Comply with all safety procedures. Any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have good organizational and communication skills. Work with other areas and have good housekeeping habits. Must be computer proficient and ability to learn any batching systems required. Must have forklift and other mobile experience. Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and any overtime that may be required. Attention to detail

Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.
