Job summary

Comfort Research LLC is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare, process, and verify shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will work with production, operations, and customer service to support daily shipping needs and maintain records.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in shipping or warehouse operations, basic WMS knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role offers a steady 7:00AM–3:30PM schedule, with weekly pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and labels.
• Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against packing lists.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• Enter shipment data into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Communicate with customer service regarding order status or delays.
• Maintain files and records of shipping documents for compliance.
• Support production and operations to prioritize shipments.

Description

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, processing, and verifying shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer and carrier requirements. This role works closely with production, operations, and customer service teams to support daily shipping needs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to efficient warehouse operations.

POSITION DETAILS

• Shift Times: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, M-F
• Pay Schedule: Weekly

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks and interactions with others.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and labels.
• Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments by checking orders against packing lists and shipping documents.
• Ensure shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and meet carrier and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve delivery issues.
• Enter and update shipment data in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other tracking tools.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritize and fulfill shipping requirements.
• Assist in monitoring inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Maintain files and records of shipping documents for compliance and auditing purposes.
• Communicate with customer service regarding order status, shipping delays, or special requirements.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures, keeping work areas clean and organized.
• Support the Production team in shared goals and initiatives.
