Job summary

Sanderson Pipe Corporation in Texas is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate and process outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication with Customer Service and Yard Shipping.

You will prepare bills of lading, packing lists, schedule carriers, verify quantities and destinations, maintain records, and assist with forklift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and transportation providers.
• Verify shipping accuracy, including quantities, product specifications, and shipping destinations.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure customer orders are shipped according to requirements and deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with Yard Shipping employees to coordinate loading schedules and shipment readiness.
• Track shipments and provide updates regarding shipping status delivery information.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and enter shipment data into company systems.
• Negotiate rates and send rate confirmations via email.
• Assist with inventory verification and reconciliation as needed.
• Address and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or customer concerns in a timely manner.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist Yard Shipping employees with loading trucks, moving pipe from the staging area, and other tasks.
• Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
