Job summary

You will prepare bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and shipping documents, schedule carriers, verify destinations, and track shipments while maintaining records and data entry in our systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to accurately complete shipping documentation and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Customer Service, Yard Shipping personnel, and other departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and adapt/respond to different situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, labels).
• Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers.
• Verify shipping accuracy including quantities and destinations.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to meet orders and deadlines.
• Track shipments and provide delivery status updates.
• Maintain shipping records and data entry in company systems.
• Negotiate rates and send rate confirmations via email.
• Assist Yard Shipping with loading trucks and moving pipe.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
