This on-site role collaborates with production to set shipment priorities and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will enforce safety, provide daily updates to the traffic team, manage staffing, and use WMS, HMI, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office to support operations.

Responsibilities

Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

A full-time position responsible for monitoring daily outbound loads, ensuring accurate and timely completion of shipments to meet customer delivery commitments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize and stage all shipments according to schedule, ensuring readiness for loading by the required times to meet customer delivery deadline
• Collaborate with the production team to communicate shipment priorities, resolve carton shortages, and proactively address potential delays.
• Enforce adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
• Provide regular status updates to the traffic team regarding shipment progress, proactively addressing any specific requirements or concerns they may have.
• Monitor staffing levels and communicate any anticipated shortages to the management team in a timely manner to ensure adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with the Shipping Lead to coordinate the efficient and timely movement of freight, optimizing resource utilization.
• Provide a comprehensive daily handover to the 1st shift team, communicating any ongoing issues or critical information to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a high-volume distribution center environment.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate records and minimize errors in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Work week based on 5 days / 40 hours and overtime on an as needed basis. Position is stationed at the Distribution Center with no required travel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office platforms like Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, such as handheld scanners
• Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
