Job description

We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for drivers and warehouse personnel, ensuring accurate load preparation, shipping documentation, and timely outbound operations.

Shift Time: 9 AM – 6 PM, Monday to Friday

In This Role

• Coordinate driver check‑in and check‑out processes, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Prepare and process shipping paperwork, including bills of lading (BOLs), manifests, packing lists, and delivery documents.
• Build and release customer orders in the warehouse management system to support outbound shipping operations.
• Verify shipment accuracy by reviewing order details, quantities, and destination information.
• Communicate with warehouse teams, carriers, and supervisors to ensure efficient load scheduling and execution.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update system information as needed.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support inventory and shipping audits as required.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications.

The Ideal Person

• 1+ year of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse administration, or distribution center operations preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and carrier paperwork.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and occasionally walking the floor to verify shipments and loads.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Steel‑toed boots or shoes required during work hours.
