Job summary

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications.

We are looking for a reliable Shipping Associate-Parts to assist in parts shipping, following established policies and procedures. This role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, and readiness to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform and use mathematics daily.
• Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions and comprehend shipping paperwork.
• Must be reliable and dependable with strong communication skills.
• Must excel in accuracy and efficiency, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to work well alone and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts accurately to fulfill customer orders.
• Package orders adequately to prevent shipping damage.
• Label parts and packages for shipment.
• Record weight and dimensions of each package.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, exercising strong attention to detail.
• Create shipments in ERP system.
• Process shipments using UPS WorldShip.
• Communicate regularly with customer service, purchasing and production departments.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

We arelooking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual for our Shipping Associate-Parts position. This individual will assist in the parts shipping duties using established policies and procedures as defined by Ampco Pumps. A self-starter with experience is desired, but willing to train the right candidate.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Pull parts accurately to fulfill customer orders.
• Package orders adequately to prevent shipping damage.
• Label parts and packages for shipment.
• Record weight and dimensions of each package.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, exercising strong attention to detail.
• Create shipments in ERP system.
• Process shipments using UPS WorldShip.
• Communicate regularly with customer service, purchasing and production departments.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk and reach above shoulders.
• Ability to lift/move parts and/or packages of various sizes, up to 50 lbs.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma/GED
• Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certified a plus.
