Job summary

Stanley Electric US in London, Ohio, seeks an experienced Shipping Associate who is forklift licensed to support daily shipping operations and warehouse activities.

You will work with ERP/MRP systems and Excel to manage inventory, prepare containers for transport, and ensure accuracy in shipping records, labels and paperwork. Overtime and occasional travel for training may be required.

  • Provide shipping containers for finished products and stage for transport.
  • Label, scan, and verify shipments with pick sheets and scanners.
  • Perform inventory controls and support audits.

Our London, Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in our Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Ensuring operational requirements are met on a daily basis by:

  • Providing daily productivity, ensuring the effective flow of communication and maintaining focus on the customer.
  • Keeping a clean and safe working environment and optimizing space utilization.
  • Providing assembly lines with clean, safe, shipping containers for finished product to be placed in.
  • Putting away product in stores based on the store location and line production.
  • Managing stores by practicing first in, first out principles.
  • Processing orders, utilizing pick sheets, scanner technology and computer based confirmations.
  • Loading and unloading of customer trailers.
  • Printing labels for various reasons to ensure product is scanned properly.
  • Performing inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • Following quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Reporting issues with shipments or product to the appropriate team leader to ensure quality is maintained.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
  • Proven experience as a warehouse worker
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Lifting (40lbs. maximum) 5 hours per day
  • Pushing / pulling finished good containers, repeatedly daily
  • Manufacturing Environment ( 8) hour per day
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
  • Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.
HAZARDS:
  • While performing the job the position is frequently exposed to moving or mechanical parts.
  • Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
