Sideshow in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a reliable warehouse shipping associate to handle order processing, packaging, labeling, and shipping duties. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to lift heavy packages.

You will maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate with carriers like UPS and FedEx, and ensure orders leave the facility in good condition. Experience is preferred but not required; a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years warehouse experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Order Processing: Checking and verifying customer orders, making sure items are correct and packed properly.
• Packaging: Ensuring products are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Labeling and Documentation: Printing shipping labels, ensuring they are properly affixed to packages, and handling any required shipping documentation.
• Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels and alerting the supervisor if there are shortages or issues with inventory.
• Shipping: Coordinating with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to ensure timely dispatch of packages.
• Quality Control: Inspecting items before shipping to ensure they are in good condition.
• Customer Service: In some cases, shipping associates may communicate with customers or vendors regarding the status of their orders or address issues like returns or damages.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skill, Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years warehouse experience (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements

Typical Working Conditions: Exposure to elements including but not limited to heat, cold, dust, wind, dirt, and paint fumes (from products that are received from vendors).

Equipment Used: Box cutters, hand-held tape guns, automatic carton tape dispenser, rolling ladder, manual pallet jack, portable roller track, automatic packing-paper dispenser, powered package conveyor system, label scanner, cardboard compactor, order picker & forklift (when certified).

Essential Physical Tasks: Heavy lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, ladder climbing, pulling, and pushing pallet jacks, folding and taping boxes, palletizing shipping cartons, wrapping pallets with stretch wrap.
