Job summary

Our client, a manufacturing and logistics organization, is seeking a Shipping Associate to join their team. As a Shipping Associate, you will be part of the Shipping Department supporting the logistics and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization. Pay is $20-$25/hr with a Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of shipping or manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with UPS and FedEx software, including international shipping.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of lean practices and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of shipments.
• Verify and keep detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing slips and commercial invoices.
• Receive, unpack, and deliver materials to designated departments efficiently.
• Prepare products and materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and protection against damage.
• Schedule shipments with service providers, prepare necessary documentation, and maintain organized shipping areas.

• 1-3 years of experience in a shipping or manufacturing environment preferred, with familiarity using UPS and FedEx software, including international shipping.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of lean practices and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly, with good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
