Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Shipping Associate in Hazel Park, MI. You will load and unload trailers, verify route loads, and maintain accurate records in a fast, warm environment.

Shift is 4 pm – 12:30 am on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Must be 18+, capable of lifting 50 lbs, and fluent in English. Full benefits are offered, and safety is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull, and stand for long periods.
• Comfortable in a warm environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Night, weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers accurately and verify route loads.
• Maintain shipping yard records and report discrepancies.
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment and label machines.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 Years of shipping experiencepreferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
