Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Shipping Associate in New York for evening shift work. You will load and unload trailers, verify loads, and maintain records while ensuring accurate product counts and quality checks.

Operation of pallet jacks and forklifts is required, with troubleshooting of packaging equipment as needed. Eligible candidates are 18+, with 1–3 years of shipping experience preferred, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18+.
• 1–3 years shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stack/unstack, or carry; stand or stoop for long periods.
• Comfortable in a warm environment.
• English communication skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers, verify route loads, maintain trailer reports and shipping yard records.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality; report overages/shortages; participate in cycle counts.
• Operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
• Troubleshoot packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 Years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
