Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Hours: Afternoon/Night Coverage (weekends as needed)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of products while maintaining compliance with food safety standards, SQF (Safe Quality Food), and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the shipping and receiving department.
• Ability to learn all employee scheduling.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments to meet customer demands.
• Ensure accurate and timely loading and unloading of products.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and SQF requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to guarantee compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Implement and maintain best practices for a safe and sanitary working environment.
• Lead and motivate a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance, addressing any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Generate reports on shipping and receiving activities, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize transportation efficiency.
• Manage the routing and scheduling of shipments to minimize delays and costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving supervisory role, preferably in the food industry.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, SQF, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
