Job summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to lead the shipping and receiving team, ensuring safe pick/pack/ship of quality products to customers on time and in full. This role also focuses on developing employees within the department.

Join a growing operation within Kingspan Group, with a commitment to safety, process improvement, and cross-training. The ideal candidate has an associate degree, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving.
• Or 5 years of supervisor experience in a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the safety of employees and enforcing safety as a core value.
• Assign personnel to meet production objectives across all areas.
• Communicate daily performance and identify root-cause for special-cause events.
• Coordinate and track training to promote cross-training and self-sufficiency.
• Run daily pre-shift meetings and update the shipping plan as needed.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant leadership to correct issues affecting quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, MOPs, JSAs and safety manuals.
• Participate in physical inventory events.

About the Role

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible forleadingthe shipping and receiving employees to ensure the safe pick/pack/ship of quality products to be delivered to our customerson-timeand in-full. This position is also responsible for promoting the development and growth of employees within assigned departments.

WhatYou’llDo

• Directly responsiblefor the safety of employees to include enforcement of safety as a core value.
• Assigns personnel appropriately to meet productionobjectivesacross all areas of responsibility.
• Communicates daily performance and ensures root-cause is known for any special-cause circumstances.
• Coordinates and tracks associate training andcompetencyto promote cross-training and associate self-sufficiency.
• Runs daily pre-shift meetings including review of production attainment against the scheduledshipping ofproduct. Update the dailyshippingplan as needed.
• Partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant leadership to implement actions to correct ongoing production issues that impact product quality, personnel safety, and ability to meet the daily production schedule as communicated by Scheduling.
• Works with applicable internal professionals in the development and improvement of programs for departmental safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Ensures all employees follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
• Maintains awareness of individualcontributionto and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel
• Responsible for Participating in Physical Inventory Events.

Additional Expectations

• Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
• Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered toin accordance withthe Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
• Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
• Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’llBring

• Associates degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience inshipping and receiving; or 5 years successful supervisor experience ina directly related, multi-shift manufacturing operation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, assign personnel across multipleshiftsandmonitorfortimelyand cost-effective completion.
• Strong understanding ofwarehousingprocesses and equipment to be able to adequately directshipping and receivingpersonnel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills anddemonstratedability toaccomplishtasks through others.
• Must be proficient with ERP systems and other computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
