Job summary

Tate Americas, a Kingspan Data Solutions unit, is seeking a Receiving Specialist to ensure accurate intake of shipments, inspect conditions, and document receipts.

You will use WMS/ERP to enter data, label and route goods, assist with cycle counts, operate pallet jacks and scanners, and collaborate with warehouse teams while following safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills required.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems or ERP software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments.
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, overages, or discrepancies against PO and packing slips.
  • Verify quantities, product codes, lot numbers, and condition of materials received.
  • Enter receiving data into WMS, ERP systems, or inventory software.
  • Label, organize, and route products to designated storage or operational areas.
  • Communicate receiving discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors, purchasing, or vendors.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage areas.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock verification activities.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or scanners as needed.
  • Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, inventory control, shipping, and production teams to support daily operations.

About the Role

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring products are properly processed and stored in a timely manner.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers and vendors.

What You'll Bring

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment when certified.
  • Experience using RF scanners or barcode systems.
  • Understanding of inventory and warehouse procedures.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
