McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) seeks a Shipping Receiving Clerk to support NUWC in Keyport, WA. This on-site role handles clerical and physical duties for shipping and receiving, including records, packaging, and verification against documents.

Required are U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, valid driver’s license, and forklift license. Lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional overtime may be required; drug screening is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities against documents.
• Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded for transport.
• Prepare and maintain records of goods shipped (manifests, bills of lading).
• Note and report discrepancies and damages in received shipments.
• Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and records; check for damages.
• Identify and route goods to internal departments and maintain receiving records.
• Operate hand or power trucks as needed for warehouse duties.

McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking Shipping Receiving Clerks who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport WA. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare.

The Shipping Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.

Shipping Duties:

• Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
• Insuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles
• Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.

Receiving Duties:

• Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
• Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records
• Checking for damaged goods
• Insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment
• Preparing and keeping records of goods received

Applicant may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehouse duties.

All work will be performed on site during regular scheduled working hours.

Required Qualifications
