Job Summary:

A Shipping and Receiving Specialistmanages incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Key duties include loading/unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damage, updating inventory systems, and preparing orders for dispatch/shipping. This physically demanding role requires lifting 50+ lbs, operating equipment like forklifts, and maintaining safety protocols.

Core Responsibilities

• Receiving/Stocking: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders/invoices to ensure no damages or discrepancies. Enter eceipts into the WMS system. Stock inbound products in appropriate locations and areas. Manage inbound carrier schedules. Notify management of any shipping/receiving issues.
• Shipping: Pack, label, and prepare outbound orders, ensuring they match picking tickets. Schedule and track carrier pickups and shipments.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of daily shipments and receipts.
• Safety & Maintenance: Keep the dock and warehouse area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of similar shipping and receiving experience. Carrier knowledge helpful.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50–100 lbs frequently.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using RF scanners, inventory software, and computer systems.
• Certifications: Forklift experience and certification is required.
