Job summary

A-Gas Americas is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Operator in Texas to prepare cylinders for outgoing shipments, assemble the bill of lading, and coordinate with logistics and carriers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires forklift operation, ability to multitask, and basic computer skills; the team works 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with early summer start at 5:00 AM. Comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to multitask & be flexible to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High attention to detail & ability to closely follow written instructions.
• Ability to pass 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment and prepare the BOL (bill of lading).
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials needed by tracking current inventory & communicating with lead/supervisor timely to allow sufficient time to replenish depleted items.
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics, customer service, third-party carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
• Use internal software (Cyltrak) to identify outgoing shipments, verify shipment information & update shipment status.
• Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• High School Diploma or GED required
