Job summary

A-Gas in the Americas is hiring a Warehouse Shipping Operator to prepare cylinders for outgoing shipments, manage inventory, and coordinate with logistics teams. The role uses Cyltrak software to track shipments and ensure accuracy, with emphasis on safety and adherence to health policies.

Starting pay is $20 per hour with experience, and the company offers comprehensive benefits including health coverage, dental and vision, and a 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping/receiving or LTL carrier experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic MS Word/Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to pass 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment and prepare the BOL (bill of lading).
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials by tracking inventory and communicating with lead/supervisor to replenish depleted items.
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics, customer service, third-party carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
• Use Cyltrak to identify outgoing shipments, verify shipment information and update shipment status.
• Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates and communicates with logistics, customer service, third-party carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
• Use internal software (Cyltrak) to identify outgoing shipments, verify shipment information & update shipment status
• Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety

Experience, Knowledge, And Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers is strongly preferred
• Ability to multitask & be flexible to changing priorities
• Basic computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail & ability to closely follow written instructions
• Ability to pass 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of hire
