Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Manager to oversee inbound, outbound, and interplant logistics across our facility and customer project locations. You will lead a team, drive accountability, safety, and continuous improvement while ensuring accurate inventory and on-time execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; Master’s preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse design, layout planning, operations, or similar fields.
• Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management; able to analyze KPI dashboards.
• Strong interpersonal leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehousing and shipping & receiving operations with inventory integrity and on‑time execution.
• Oversee warehouse scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory accuracy, and exception management.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Shipping, Trucking, Customer Service, Billing, IT/WMS to ensure SLA performance.
• Serve as the primary client‑facing leader, handling communications, escalations, and customized logistics solutions.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve ERP usage and reduce non‑value‑added movements.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements across operations.
• Train, supervise, and develop the operations team; create SOPs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct multi‑site capacity assessments and present space needs to senior leadership.

Job Overview:Shipping and Receiving ManagerWe are seeking a detail-oriented Warehousing and Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of inbound, outbound, and Interplant logistics, ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of products and materials through the facility and our customer project locations. This role is responsible for leading a team of shipping and receiving team members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. This manager should be highly analytical, well-organized, comfortable with technology, and have a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and import procedures.Company Overview:Premier PV is a leading manufacturer of solar electrical balance of systems solutions and renewable energy products, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy technologies. Our mission is to provide innovative, efficient, and reliable products that enhance solar energy systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee warehousing and shipping & receiving operations, ensuring inventory integrity, material flow, regulatory compliance, and on‑time execution across all inbound and outbound logistics.Oversee warehouse scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory accuracy, and exception management.Coordinate across multiple internal teams (Receiving, Shipping, Trucking, Customer Service, Billing, IT/WMS) to ensure SLA performance and service consistency.Serve as the primary client-facing leader, handling communication, requirements, escalations, and customized logistics solutions.Manage and maintain periodic cycle counting, FIFO traceability, ABC classification, cycle counting, ABC analysis, FIFO traceability and Inventory management.Develop robust staging processes for work orders and kitting. Ensure materials are delivered to production areas fully prepared and labeled to reduce downtime.Ability to create safe working environment procedures for Forklifts, Stand up lifts, and stackers. Manage a clean workplace using Lean and 5S and manage a fleet of material handling equipment. (forklifts, pallet jacks, scales).Logistics & Outbound Coordination: Oversee outbound packaging, freight scheduling, and carrier relationships to ensure on-time, damage-free delivery of finished goods.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to ensure material readiness and resolve supply issues before they impact production.Establish cycle time baselines for receiving shipping, material staging and issues. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques to enhance ERP usage and reduce non-value-added movements.Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and identify and implement continuous improvements. Monitor and analyze operational KPIs/SLA; identify issues and drive ongoing process improvements.Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of raw materialsTrain, supervise, and develop the operations team; build and optimize SOPs to improve accuracy and efficiency.Conduct multi‑site capacity assessments and storage sizing studies. Present analysis‑backed space‑need recommendations to senior leadership.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including weekends and holidays.5+ years of management and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.Strong organization and prioritizing skills.The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required).5+ years of experience in warehouse design, layout planning, operations, or similar fields.System Proficiency: Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management tools; ability to analyze and act on KPI dashboards.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.Proven track record in supervision of warehouse employees including Hiring, Training, and Termination.Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand for long period of time.Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.Ability to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperaturesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsCompany Overview:Empowering Progress: Premier PV leads in eBOS manufacturing, prioritizing innovation and quality.
