Job summary

Job description

Sensient is growing rapidly! Due to this growth we are seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our team. This exciting role is responsible for coordinating daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role works closely with warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams to support operational goals, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments, including parcel, LTL, FTL, and international orders. Schedule carriers and manage transportation appointments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Verify shipping documentation including bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, labels, and certificates of analysis (COAs).
  • Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately and on schedule. Communicate shipment status, delays, and transportation issues to internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Monitor shipping queues and prioritize orders based on delivery schedules and operational needs. Maintain accurate records in all warehouse platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, shortages, and carrier issues. Support inventory accuracy through proper transaction processing and shipment verification.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure staging lanes, dock area, and shipping supplies remain organized and compliant. Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and transportation regulations. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service improvements.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred with 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of transportation methods including parcel, LTL, FTL, and international shipping preferred.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

The range of pay for this position is $22.00-26.00 per hour USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
