Job summary

McLane Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage outgoing shipments, inspect contents, and prepare paperwork while coordinating with the Distribution Center to load and verify orders.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in shipping and 2+ years in distribution, strong math and documentation skills, and can read and write English proficiently. The role is in a cold storage facility with a Monday–Friday schedule and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 or more years’ experience in a shipping department.
• 2 or more years’ experience in a distribution environment.
• Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.
• Strong math and documentation abilities.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Sends shipments and creates paperwork for outgoing deliveries.
• Inspects shipments to ensure there are no damages.
• Verifies shipments per order requirements.
• May send shipments outside the US contiguous border.
• Investigates problems and resolves discrepancies.
• Labels shipments prior to loading.
• Trains new teammates in shipping department.
• Other duties may be assigned.

As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will send, inspect and record outgoing products. Work with DC to load packages and check their contents to ensure they match the orders.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay rate: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: 2:00 pm until 10:30 pm.
• Position is located in a cold storage facility and requires prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.

This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
