Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate truck/vehicle scale equipment to weigh incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Accurately record gross, tare, and net weights for each transaction.
  • Generate and issue weight tickets/receipts to drivers.
  • Verify material type, load documentation, and customer/vendor information against system records.
  • Enter transaction data into scale software or ERP system.
  • Inspect incoming loads for contamination, prohibited materials, or discrepancies and flag issues per company procedure.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and reconcile scale records with accounting/inventory.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding yard procedures, safety rules, and traffic flow.
  • Perform routine visual checks of scale equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized scale house/office area.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and traffic safety around heavy equipment.
  • Assist with month-end reporting or audits as needed.

Position Summary

  • May require early morning, evening, or weekend shifts depending on operational hours
