Job description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.

You will report to the Operations Planning Manager at the Springdale, Plant.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks of chemicals in a chemical plant
• Includes drums, pallets, boxes, hazardous material, flammable, peroxides with motorized fork trucks
• Wear appropriate PPE, including FRC and respirators
• Recognize PPG CHAMP Code vs Chemical Name on all incoming RMs
• Label incoming RM and outgoing FG drums
• Collect RM Samples, requiring above listed PPE
• Adequate attendance, very infrequent absenteeism for sick/ill

Qualifications:

• High school degree required
• 0 to 2 years of shipping or receiving experience
• Forklift experience preferred
