Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate for our Statesville, NC facility on the 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM), Monday–Friday. The role involves non-climate-controlled conditions, forklift operations, and accurate data entry to support inventory control.

You will perform shipping/receiving duties, load/unload materials, and maintain documentation while collaborating with the team to keep a clean, efficient workspace. Benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled truck upfitting facility where you will contribute to upfitting custom 18 wheelers for specific customers. The position operates on the 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the facility.
• Conduct data entry tasks related to inventory and shipping records.
• Manage inventory control through cycle counting and proper documentation.
• Handle material loading and unloading efficiently and safely.
• Ensure accuracy in order selection and labeling of shipping packages.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Proficiency in forklift operation.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-heated and non-cooled facility, with doors opening up where trucks roll onto the line, leading to variable temperatures. Despite these conditions, the facility remains clean and organized.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
