Job summary

Siemens Mobility in La Mirada, CA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support our production team at the Union facility.

You will pick/pack for assembly or shipment, break down pallets, and maintain inventory. SAP transactions and forklift operation are required; shift is 10am–6:30pm, Monday–Friday, with union benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
• Willingness to learn facility equipment and follow established processes.
• Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Picks/Packs materials to prepare for assembly or shipment, breaks down pallets, sorts material and places in staging areas.
• Stocks and maintains accurate inventory levels.
• Uses SAP to do receipts, transfers, and shipping transactions.
• Initiates scrap tickets to generate part replacement orders and discards scrap and/or defective material.
• Operates and maintains forklift and other material handling equipment for loading/unloading.

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our production team at our La Mirada, CA Union facility.

The affiliated union for this location is International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1710.

• Shift Hours: ("Alternate" Shift) Monday - Friday: 10am - 6:30pm.

Role Responsibilities

• Picks/Packs materials to prepare for assembly or shipment, breaks down pallets, sorts material and separates, unloads material from incoming trailers and places in staging areas.
• Stocks and maintains accurate inventory levels.
• Uses SAP to do receipts, transfers, and shipping transactions.
• Initiates scrap tickets to generate part replacement orders, discards scrap and/or defected materials that are not serviceable.
• Operates and maintains forklift and any other powered/manual material lifting/ handling equipment for loading material onto or unloading from trailers.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing shipping and receiving
• Willingness to learn all equipment operated in the facility and follow established processes!
• Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

The pay for this position is 18.50 per hour, plus an additional .45 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
