Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector for the Receiving Inspection team on the 1st shift. You will perform incoming material inspection on Production Solutions products, working with logistics to verify supplier quality.

Shift Hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; Hourly Rate: $24.79. The role requires at least 3 years' experience inspecting electrical and mechanical components, blueprint reading, welded component inspection, and using tape measures, calipers, and height

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components.
• 3+ years’ experience with reading and understanding mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience inspecting welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience working with tape measures, calipers, and height gauges.
• Full proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated with peers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to resolve material non-conformances.
• Drive continuous improvement with own team and other departments.
• Work with SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel; follow safety rules.

We are looking for an Incoming Quality Inspector for our Receiving Inspection team on the 1st shift. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC facility.

— This inspector position is responsible for performing incoming material inspection duties on our Production Solutions products, working alongside our logistics team to ensure and verify supplier quality.

Shift Hours: 6:00AM- 2:30PM

Hourly Rate: $24.79

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components
• 3+ years’ experience with reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experienceworking with tape measures, calipers,andheight gages
• Full proficiencyin English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity
• Ability tolift upto 50 lbs.as needed
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Residential or commercial electrical and mechanical education or certifications
• 5+ years of prior work experience in warehouse receiving and inspection

• Works with peers, factorypersonneland 3rd party suppliers to ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated
• Works with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances with material that will be used in finished goods
• Drives continuous improvement activities with own team and other departments
• Will work with SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel
• Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
• Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
