Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk assists in handling all incoming deliveries and filling hotel shipment requisitions. Ensures all packages are shipped and distributed to the appropriate party.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive all incoming deliveries to the hotel.
  • Maintain accurate logs/records on all shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Ship outgoing mail and packages through various carriers.
  • Secure the receiving room and its contents to ensure safekeeping.
  • Direct deliveries not under jurisdiction of the receiving rooms to the appropriate areas.
  • Deliver, pick up, and/or sort mail expeditiously.
  • Record all packages and parcels received and shipped.
  • Keep the office clean and organized.
  • Attend work on time as scheduled and adhere to attendance policy.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information at all times.

Skills:

  • Must pass certification assessment.

Education/Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 Year of work experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Lift, carry, or move up to 100 lbs. regularly with assistance.
  • Follow proper moving and lifting procedures.
  • Stand, walk, reach, handle, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear regularly.
