Job Description

Overview:

Responsibilities include signing in and out truck drivers and completing necessary paperwork. The clerk will also generate daily/weekly shipping activity reports for the Manager or management team. Coordination of shipping activities with sales and production personnel is essential. The clerk will serve as a backup for creating pallet tags as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and promptly type manifests, export documents, and bills of lading
  • Schedule appointments with truck drivers for order pickups
  • File and retrieve materials using a standard filing system
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Serve as backup for the pallet tag creation process
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

What you bring:

  • High school diploma and two years of administrative experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is desirable
  • Willingness to work long hours if necessary
  • Customer service orientation (preferred)
