Job summary

Menasha Corporation seeks a Shipping & Receiving professional to assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment. You will coordinate schedules, dispatch local freight, and generate shipping labels while communicating with drivers. This role supports both Menasha Packaging and ORBIS operations. The position mainly runs on the third shift from 11:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m. with potential overtime. A high school diploma and 4 years shipping/receiving experience are required, along with strong attention

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipping documentation and carrier coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Coordinate shipping schedules and dispatch local freight shipments.
• Create shipping labels and contact carriers to arrange shipments.
• Verify shipment information against bills of lading, invoices and orders.
• Communicate with managers to coordinate production lines and shipments.
• Monitor and log shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate records.
• Resolve outbound and inbound delivery issues with stakeholders.
• Inspect outgoing/incoming shipments for damages and shortages.

About The Opportunity

Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Completes shipping reports. This position primarily operates on third shift, with regular working hours of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, extended hours, or schedule adjustments may be required to meet business demands.

Essential Job Functions

• Communicates instructions to checker/loaders, contracted truck drivers, and OTR carriers
• Coordinates and execute shipping schedules, and dispatch local freight shipments
• Creates shipping labels for paperwork received and contacts carrier to arrange shipment
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Confers with managers to ensure coordination of production lines and finished product
• Responsible for coordination of product completion and shipments on a timely basis by logging and inventory of the shipment and keeping a running total of the shipments
• Resolve outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Coordinates movements of trailers with yard spotter
• Assists with waste tracking and disposal
• Prepares business reports as needed
• Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required

4 years Experience in Shipping & receiving

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
• Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
• Knowledge of the issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
• Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent walking/standing required
