Responsibilities

Analyze work tickets, pick lists, and sales orders to identify necessary materials.
Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and readied for delivery.
Generate essential shipping paperwork, such as commercial invoices and bills of lading.
Select optimal shipping routes and methods by following established protocols and cost guidelines.
Verify incoming deliveries against purchase documentation and invoices to ensure accuracy.
Utilize computer systems to input and track all shipping and receiving data.
Organize, label, and place incoming inventory into its proper storage area.
Help maintain precise inventory levels by identifying and resolving any stock discrepancies.
Support the team by performing material replenishment and participating in inventory counts.
Help maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment by keeping equipment and storage zones tidy.
Document the usage and maintenance history of all material‑handling machinery.
Provide support for assembly projects as required.
Complete additional tasks as requested by management.

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to become part of an expanding operation in Shakopee, MN. This position offers a pathway to permanent employment for a warehouse professional who possesses excellent organizational abilities and a solid background in inventory management, shipping, and receiving.

Core Duties

Required Skills and Experience

Between two and five years of relevant experience in materials management, shipping, or receiving
Must possess a current forklift or lift truck operator certification
Proficiency in computer operations is essential
Prior familiarity with ERP software is a plus
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organizational habits
Strong verbal and written English communication abilities
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a collaborative team member
Help the team succeed by managing multiple tasks efficiently in a high‑speed warehouse setting
Capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to remain on your feet for shifts lasting 8 hours or longer
A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred
