Looking for Shipping and Receiving Associate jobs in Madison where accuracy and teamwork keep products moving? This opportunity lets you play a key role in receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, and helping maintain an organized, efficient warehouse operation.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills with experience using inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, inventory procedures, and safety documentation.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or operations support.
• Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counting, order fulfillment, and material handling.
• Forklift, stand-up order picker, or other powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
• Experience working in a regulated, quality-controlled, manufacturing, healthcare, or distribution environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management software, ERP systems, and barcode scanning technology preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow processes.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in equipment breakdown, disassembly, and decommissioning projects.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, process improvement, and documentation control.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 25-50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, hand trucks, and warehouse equipment safely.
• Manual dexterity for packaging, inventory transactions, documentation, and equipment operation.
• Ability to work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled warehouse environments.

Job Duties

• Manage inventory, materials, and warehouse stock while maintaining compliance with quality and operational standards.
• Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer and internal orders for shipment.
• Process receiving, shipping, returns, transfers, and inventory transactions accurately.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Build crates, assemble protective packaging, and prepare products for safe transportation.
• Assist with equipment breakdown, decommissioning, reverse logistics, and scrap processing activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management and tracking systems.
• Support Lean and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency, organization, and workplace safety.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and operational records.
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while supporting daily warehouse operations.
