Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking multiple reliable Shipping & Receiving Associates for companies in the New Haven county, CT area. You will manage inbound/outbound shipments, operate warehouse equipment, and maintain inventory in digital systems.

No degree required; pay $19-$25/hour, first shift, 8 AM - 4 PM, with forklift experience preferred. Ideal candidates have basic computer skills, 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving, and comfort lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight with sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks
• Inspect incoming shipments and reconcile with packing slips
• Pick, pack, weigh, palletize, and label outbound orders
• Log inventory receipts and update stock in WMS/ERP
• Perform daily forklift pre-operation safety checks and maintain clean staging areas
• Operate shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx) and basic WMS/ERP

Job description

Randstad is looking to hire multiple reliable Shipping & Receiving Associates for companies in the New Haven county to manage inbound and outbound shipments, safely operate warehouse equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records using our digital systems. Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight trucks using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect incoming shipments, reconcile items against packing slips, and report damages.
• Pick, pack, weigh, palletize, and label outbound orders to carrier specifications.
• Log inventory receipts, generate shipping labels/BOLs, and update stock records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Complete daily forklift pre-operation safety checks and keep staging areas clean and compliant with OSHA standards.
• Basic computer skills: data entry, barcode/RF scanner usage, standard email, and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx, or basic WMS/ERP).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, or bend for full 8+ hour shifts in a warehouse environment.
