Job summary

Qualifications

We are recruiting a Shipping and Receiving Assistant for a full-time opportunity in Manchester, Connecticut. This role supports accurate, on-time movement of incoming materials and outgoing orders. We are looking for someone organized, dependable, and comfortable working with shipping records and warehouse teams.

What you will do

• Receive UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments; check goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pack, label, and stage outgoing orders accurately to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Prepare shipping labels and bills of lading, and keep inventory and shipment records current in company systems.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and sales colleagues to keep shipments moving on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading dock and storage area.

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred; candidates with strong organizational skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software, such as UPS, FedEx, or ERP systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
