Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Assistant for a full-time role in Manchester, Connecticut. This position supports accurate, on-time movement of incoming materials and outgoing orders and requires someone who is organized and dependable.

You will handle shipments with UPS, FedEx, and ERP systems, verify quantities, prepare labels, and keep shipping records current. You will coordinate with drivers and warehouse teams to keep shipments moving on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in warehouse, shipping, or logistics preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

This role supports accurate, on-time movement of incoming materials and outgoing orders. We are looking for someone organized, dependable, and comfortable working with shipping records and warehouse teams.

What you will do

• Receive UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments; check goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pack, label, and stage outgoing orders accurately to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Prepare shipping labels and bills of lading, and keep inventory and shipment records current in company systems.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and sales colleagues to keep shipments moving on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading dock and storage area.

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred; candidates with strong organizational skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software, such as UPS, FedEx, or ERP systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
