Job summary

Value Added Distributors, LLC in Fort Payne, AL is hiring a full‑time Shipping and Receiving Associate to support production and ensure accurate, timely deliveries. You will receive, stock, and ship parts, operate a forklift, and maintain inventory integrity.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

THE TYPE OF SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're searching for someone who can meet the following qualifications:

• 21+ years of age for company vehicle use
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods of time
• Experience entering data into a computer
• Basic mechanical and repair skills
• Ability to use/read tape measures and digital calipers
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards

• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs

Preferred qualifications include supply chain or logistics experience, previous hydraulic component knowledge, and forklift certification.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE OUR SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

This full‑time position works Monday – Friday, 7:00am- - 3:30pm and overtime as needed.

As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you'll receive and stock products, break down skids, pull orders, and coordinate shipments with carriers.
