Job summary

Koch Finishing Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Inventory Control professional to join our Caledonia team in Michigan. You will manage the packaging and shipment of parts and equipment, handle documentation, and maintain accurate inventory records across multiple storage areas.

You will coordinate with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve shortages and ensure timely deliveries, using ERP systems to track counts and movements.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts and ERP/inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (up to 75 lbs. occasionally with assistance) and operate material handling equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack.
• Clear communicator who works well across teams and can juggle shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the packaging and shipment of parts, materials, and large capital equipment, including domestic and international freight.
• Obtain shipping quotes, schedule shipments, and determine the best transportation method for each job.
• Prepare export/import documentation, including HTS classification and commercial invoices.
• Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts to keep records accurate.
• Maintain organized, accessible storage in the parts crib, warehouse, and project bays.
• Partner with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve material shortages and shipping issues quickly.
