Job summary

Koch Finishing Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Inventory Control professional for our Caledonia location. You will plan and coordinate packaging and shipments, manage inventory transactions, and ensure accurate records across the parts crib, warehouse, and project bays.

You will work with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve shortages and shipping issues, handle domestic and international freight, and maintain organized storage.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory management in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts and ERP/inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (up to 75 lbs. occasionally) and operate material handling equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack.
• Clear communicator who can work across teams and juggle shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate packaging and shipment of parts, materials, and large capital equipment, including domestic and international freight.
• Obtain shipping quotes, schedule shipments, and determine best transportation method.
• Prepare export/import documentation, including HTS classification and commercial invoices.
• Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical counts to keep records accurate.
• Maintain organized storage in the parts crib, warehouse, and project bays.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Production Planning to resolve shortages and shipping issues quickly.
